Nationwide Delivery Centres Hope to Employ 10,000 Malaysians Serving North American Markets

KUALA LUMPUR, 17 May, 2007 - TTEC Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of TeleTech Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTEC), one of the largest and most geographically diverse global providers of business process outsourcing (BPO) solutions, today announced long-term operations in Malaysia: A roll-out of delivery centres nationwide, with a goal to create more than 10,000 jobs in 10 years.

The U.S.-based company, with global operations in 18 countries cited the plan in a document exchange ceremony between TeleTech Vice President and General Manager of Asia, Maulik Parekh, and Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) CEO Dato’ Badlisham Ghazali. The ceremony took place today at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre during the MSC Malaysia International Advisory Panel (IAP) meeting attended in part by YAB Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, prime minister of Malaysia.

“Today, Malaysia is a virtually untapped market for offshore BPO,” said Parekh. “We have long been impressed by the country’s excellent infrastructure, talented and growing labor pool, and widespread use of English. Malaysia is clearly a high quality location linking it to the global BPO supply chain. Our unrivaled success in the Philippines has given us a great model for similar expansion programs in countries like Malaysia,” Parekh said.

Malaysia's infrastructure, attractive business environment, and strong government support are among the factors that contribute to making it a rising BPO alternative to other countries in the region. Its stable political climate, backed by consistent economic growth, makes it attractive for sensitive, high-end applications.

As a multilingual country with a large population of English-language speakers, Malaysia offers a solid platform for TeleTech to offer front- and back-office support to large multinational clients based in North America and elsewhere.

“TeleTech’s decision to expand further into Malaysia signals the positive recognition of the country to support global markets effectively from its strong base of service-oriented professionals. We in MSC Malaysia will continue our efforts to raise the standards of Malaysia as a competitive BPO location” Badlisham commented.
