AME InfoA delegation from Ruwad Establishment has participated in the 16th World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT), held in Malaysia recently, in response to an invitation extended to the establishment by the Malaysian Government who recognizes Ruwad’s outstanding contribution to the success of young SMEs in ICT sector.
The delegation was led by H.E Ali bin Salem Al Mahmoud, Member of Ruwad’s Board of Directors and General Manager of the Sharjah Economic Development Department and included Mr. Khalid Mukaled, Ruwad’s Business Development Manager.
The event is held biennially on a different continent. It is the signature forum of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), a consortium of 73 information technology (IT) industry associations that represents over 90% of the world's IT market.
This year edition attracted over 3000 leaders from the information and communications technology industries as well as forward thinking leaders from governments and industries worldwide.
Ruwad’s participation in this international event has come with the objective of preparing to implement 'Techani Scheme', the region’s first of its kind initiative which has been launched by the establishment, recently, and sponsored by Securities and Commodities Authority.
Ruwad’s 'Techani scheme' aims to encourage national SMEs in ICT Sector and to develop these projects by providing the UAE young talents with all the necessary educational, technical, consultant, training and infrastructural support to enable them to establish leading small and medium enterprises in this vibrant sector.
The delegation’s members have made the necessary preparations in coordination with the concerned parties in Malaysia to host the participants in the 10-days training course.
The training, supervised by renowned international training centers, is part of 'Techani Scheme' and will provide Ruwad’s candidates with advanced training on establishing and managing SMEs.
